After every Arsenal game you’ll find a full match report on Gunners Daily, complete with player ratings. Here’s how we think about them.
The scale
- 9–10 — Elite, match-defining performance.
- 7–8 — Very good. Did their job and then some.
- 6 — Solid, unremarkable, no complaints.
- 4–5 — Below par; struggled in key moments.
- 1–3 — A day to forget.
What we weigh
Ratings aren’t just about goals and assists. We factor in role, game state, defensive work, and the difficulty of the task each player faced. A holding midfielder who quietly snuffs out three counter-attacks matters just as much as a striker who taps in from two yards.
We won’t always agree — and that’s the fun of it. Disagree with a rating? Let us know.
